The "Granda" (large) Province of Cuneo in Piedmont,
is a land which is rich in excellent wines and flourishing
wine estates, thanks to the splendid hillside settings
of the Langhe, Roero, Dogliani and Mondovì areas;
all featuring land and soil conditions which are specifically
suited to vine cultivation and wine production; wines
which are being increasingly widely acclaimed worldwide.
The "Cerrino wine estate" is located
in this same Langhe hillsde setting, in hamlet known as
Cappelletto, forming part of the commune of Trezzo Tinella.
The Cerrino family has for the past 150 years been
cultivating vines, the intrinsic passion for wine and
grape cultivation having been handed down through the
generations.
The company was taken over by Sergio in 1988, who
putting to best use his experience and quality of the
land, further expanded and modernized the company, making
use of the most advanced technological aids for the various
production processes (from grape ripening to bottling),
thereby ensuring the finest quality wines.
The estate extends over 9 hectares, the vines having s
South-easterly exposure, and is cultivated with Moscato d'Asti,
Dolcetto d'Alba, Langhe Chardonnay, Langhe Nebbiolo, Langhe Favorita, Barbera d'Alba.
In order to ensure the traceability and the characteristic
nature of our wines, we have a well defined pest control
programme, with green vine pruning and pre - harvesting
thinning.
